WESLACO, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a two vehicle fatal crash.

According to Texas DPS the incident occurred on Saturday at about 7:37 p.m. on FM 1847 and FM 106 in Cameron County. A preliminary investigation revealed a white Toyota pickup truck towing a boat was traveling south on FM 1847. A black Ford pickup truck was traveling east on FM 106.

The release stated the driver of the Toyota was distracted and disregarded a stop sign at the intersection causing the Ford to strike the Toyota.
