Two suspects have been charged following an aggravated robbery earlier this week in Weslaco.

Alfonso Rocha, 20, and John Andrew Flores, 31, were arraigned on Friday morning.

The robbery took place on Monday morning at the Westgate Meat Market, located on the 2600 block of North Westgate.

During the robbery, a black handgun was displayed and surveillance video showed a total of four people running from the business. Authorities said they believe that Rocha was the main who displayed the gun during the robbery.

Weslaco police said the handgun has since been recovered.

We’ve learned that Rocha and Flores are also facing additional aggravated robbery charges in Mercedes.

Bond for both men has been set at $200,000.

CBS 4 spoke with the store’s owner about the robbery, who said she felt ‘depressed’ and that she didn’t feel safe anymore.

Weslaco police are continuing their search for the other two suspects involved in the robbery.
