EDINBURG, Texas (KVEO) — McAllen Border Patrol Agents arrested two sex offenders on Wednesday, on two separate incidents.
According to a release, agents working near Hidalgo arrested a Mexican national.
The release identified him as Santiago Alvarez Gonzalez.
Gonzalez has a previous arrest in McAllen for a “sex offense against a child.” The release adds that records also revealed Gonzalez had charges for possession of marijuana and cocaine.
Later, agents in Peñitas arrested a Mexican national. His records revealed criminal history in California that included sexual battery, burglary and narcotics possession with intent to distribute.
The release adds Border Patrol is processing the subjects accordingly.
