EDINBURG, Texas – A high-speed pursuit following a burglary at an Edinburg Walmart leads to two arrests.
Police arrested 35-year-old Edgar Villanueva and 43-year old Trisha Valverde on Sunday. The two reportedly stole flat screen television sets and other merchandise from the Walmart located on University Drive.
Authorities say the woman led police on a pursuit but not before attempting to pawn the television sets at a nearby pawn shop. The suspects now face charges of Theft, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Evading Arrest.
