Two men dead, suspect on the run in Alton shooting

ALTON, Texas – A family dispute turned deadly in Alton on Friday night. Police confirm two men were fatally shot and on other was injured. The incident occurred on the 900 block of Jefferson Street in Alton.

Authorities now searching for 22-year-old Oscar Armando Velasquez. He is wanted on Capital Murder charges for the deaths of 34-year-old Carlos Perez and 25-year-old Eduardo Rodriguez. According to Alton Police, a domestic dispute led to the shooting between the group of friends, highlighting the suspect is one of the victim’s mother’s boyfriend.

Police are calling this an isolated incident that happened inside the residence. A third victim, identified as 30-year-old Matthew Compean was hospitalized and is expected to recover. Police say Velasquez has no previous criminal history but is considered armed and dangerous.
