Two Alamo residents are dead following a two-vehicle crash near Indianapolis on Tuesday.
According to Indiana State Police, crews were called to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the exit for SR 267, just after 2:15 p.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed that eastbound traffic on I-70 was backed up due to road repairs in the area. According to authorities, a semi-tractor trailer was stopped at the traffic backup when a van failed to stop before colliding with the back of the trailer.
Lawrence Bochantin, 86, and Robbie Davis, 83, both of Alamo, who were in the van, were pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information was released.
