Truck rear ends cement truck, driver sent to hospital with multiple injuries

HARLINGEN, Texas – On Wednesday, May 8th at about 12:53 A.M., Harlingen Police officers responded to the 2600 block of US 77 Southbound Frontage and in reference to a two vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a black 2009 Nissan Titan pickup truck was traveling southbound on the frontage road and rear ended a ready mix cement truck that was also traveling southbound. Harlingen Fire Department extricated the female driver from the Nissan Titan. She received multiple injuries and was transported by Harlingen EMS to a local hospital. The Harlingen Police Highway Enforcement Unit continues to investigate this crash.
