RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – The Texas DPS South Texas Region has provided a statement from the family of Trooper Moises Sanchez.
“We know many of you have been asking for an update regarding Moses’ condition. Moses is still in Neuro ICU listed in stable condition. His vitals remain strong. We are pleased to see a little improvement every day with movement in his face and body. He can keep his eyes open wider for a longer period of time now. We expect him to begin rehabilitation soon. We have a long journey ahead, but we have unshakeable faith and trust that God will be at our side every step of the way.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during this difficult time. The children and I are humbled and extremely grateful for the outpouring of support for Moses and every member of our family. The people of the Rio Grande Valley have shown just how incredibly special they are as we have witnessed this community band together to support us, Texas DPS and the entire law enforcement community. We also want to say a special thank you to the DHR Neuro ICU doctors, nurses and staff who are providing exceptional care for Moses. You truly are extraordinary human beings, and we feel very blessed that Moses is under your care.
Again thank you all so much for your compassion and continued support now and on the path ahead.”
