BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The Children’s Museum of Brownsville is welcoming a new multi-station exhibit.

Tinkertoy is an innovative and educational exhibit that will teach children about technology, engineering and problem-solving. There are nine stations, each with a different concept and challenge. Tinkertoy aims at promoting imagination, creativity, and collaboration.

The museum executive director says this kind of motivation is important early on in a child’s life.

Felipe Peña, “It teaches kids about all the different types of technology that’s sort of been developed. How even though these simple concepts, or these big concepts were developed by simple ideas, they can be creators too.”

Kids will be able to create anything with the Tinkertoy construction, all while learning and having fun. The interactive exhibit opens Saturday, February 8th and will remain at the children’s museum for three months.
