That famous quote perhaps best sums up the importance of learning and preserving our history. One person who has made it a life passion to keep history alive in the Rio Grande Valley is Eugene Fernandez.

Recently, he’s published a book called “Jackass Flats” which features many of the historic pieces you’ve seen on Throwback Thursdays.
