Three people have been taken to local hospitals after a high-speed chase ended in a crash in San Juan Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say a vehicle, driven by a 20-year-old man, was being pursued by the Texas Department of Public Safety when it crashed into another vehicle, occupied by two teens, near Farm-to-Market Road 495 and Cesar Chavez.

None of the victims suffered major injuries, according to San Juan Fire Chief Juan Garza.

It’s unclear why the vehicle was being pursued.

The crash remains under investigation.
