UPDATE: 

Two suspects arrested in connection with a Christmas Day burglary in Harlingen have been arraigned.

Jeremy Torres, 30, of San Benito, and Eairyeis Kaine Cuellar, 18, of Harlingen, were arraigned on Wednesday. Both men have been charged with burglary of a building.

A third suspect, a 15-year-old Harlingen resident, was also arrested. However, it is unclear if that suspect has been charged.

Back on Christmas Day, Harlingen police responded to an alarm call around 4 a.m. at Johnny’s True Value Hardware Store, located on the 900 block of W. Tyler Ave.

Police said an investigation revealed that several items, including six handguns, three rifles and some ammunition were taken.

Authorities said that all the items stolen were recovered.

One of the suspects was arrested after being seen fleeing the area, according to police. The second suspect was arrested at a local home and the third suspect voluntarily turned himself in.

Bond for Torres has been set at $25,000 while bond for Cuellar has been set at $5,000.

Three people were arrested following an early morning Christmas Day burglary in Harlingen.

According to Harlingen Police, officers responded to an alarm call at Johnny’s True Value Hardware Store, located on the 900 block of W. Tyler Avenue.

Police said an initial investigation revealed that several unknown subjects made forced entry into the building and removed several items including firearms and ammunition.

According to the report, a male juvenile was seen fleeing the area and was later detained by police. A second suspect was also arrested following further investigation. A final subject voluntarily turned himself in a few hours later.

Police said several items, including six handguns, 3 rifles and some ammunition were recovered.

An investigation into the burglary is ongoing.
