Monday is National Random Acts of Kindness Day and students and staff at Texas Southmost College participated in an initiative which was created by students for students.

Virginia Sandoval, Director of Student Development and Retention, said the Campus Activities Board and Office of Student Life coordinated a series of events for students, including ‘Kindness Bingo.’

“We’re just collecting their stories and see how that went for them. The Kindness Bingo dealt with small random acts of kindness such as just opening the door for someone, making someone smile, giving someone a compliment. Very little small things that go a long way for students.”

Sandoval said the students turned in their cards on Monday for small prizes and TSC school items.

Sandoval added that the events were to promote kindness, connection, student peer-to-peer relationships, and engagement.
