Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush paid a special visit to students of the Edinburg school district.
The 28th Land Commissioner delivered a key note speech to Edinburg C.I.S.D.’s top ten percent graduating students.
More than 240 students and parents attended the honor banquet.
“So today we’re celebrating the best and the brightest that the valley has to offer. So for me, it’s an honor to close out the legislative session that’s focused on education here in the Valley.”
Bush has dedicated his life to public service working as a public school teacher and serving in operation freedom in Afghanistan as an officer in the U,S, Naval Reserve.
