Texas Commission on Jail Standards releases failed county jail inspection

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The Texas Commission on Jail Standards released the latest inspection of the Cameron County Jail. The report details how the local government organization was unable to meet minimum standards.

From life safety issues to supervision and sanitation, the county has been working to correct the violations issued by the state. One of the concerns on fire safety equipment has been addressed and is labeled as “no-follow up action required”.
