SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy blasted off and returned from its first test flight to Mars.

While that was exciting in itself, SpaceX literally topped it off with a red electric sports car. One Brownsville woman believes she may have inspired CEO Elon Musk to send his car into orbit.

Evelyn Janeidy Arevalo, Space Enthusiast said, “I feel really happy that he accepted suggestions and is incorporating them into his amazing plans. He’s probably the last person on earth that needs any crazy ideas. SpaceX is more than a leader in our space innovation, it is also an important source of inspiration for many.”

Before blasting his Tesla Roadster into space, Musk wanted to send the silliest thing imaginable to orbit Mars. That’s why Evelyn Arevalo suggested taking a Tesla to Mars on social media. Musk replied to her suggestion. She, along with millions of people around the world marveled as the car flew into space.
