During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are worried about illnesses and going to the doctor, worried that they might contract COVID-19 germs.

However, an alternative method of seeing a doctor can help avoid that.

April Lopez, Nurse Practitioner with Lopez Medical Clinic, is seeing patients via telemedicine.

Patients can call her clinic to set up the visit.

Once the visit is set up, she will send a link to allow the patient to connect with her via Face Time.

Lopez says she has a duty and moral obligation to keep her doors open.

“Right now people are scared so we want to be here to appease the community and we also want to help minimize the visits to the emergency room,” said Lopez.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Lopez has seen hundreds of patients from all over the state via telemedicine.

Lopez is seeing uninsured patients for free.

To contact her clinic you can call (956) 627-5555.
