MISSION, Texas (KVEO) — 22-year-old, Alexandra Castellano and her grandfather, Orlando Rodriguez are now social media stars. The family dances, viral challenges, and of course laughing together on TikTok.
Castellano said,” I’m still kind of in awe. I’m still like in shock, it shocks me every day.”
Castellano is a mail carrier and posts daily TikToks with her grandpa.
“In March is when I started posting consecutively and they would just go viral,” said Castellano. Making their bond stronger.
She also said, “my family has always been united, but I think what helped us get closer was quarantine, we have no choice but to be together and TikTok was a plus.”
Now they are quite popular on TikTok.
Rodriguez said, “we just kind of started doing this as a fun deal and now we’re here with 1.6 million followers.”
With a press of a button, millions of their followers watching pranks and funny moments online.
“Oh my God, we love it! We just enjoy what we do and it’s just an exciting event for us,” said Rodriguez.
If TikTok gets banned, Castellano said, “I would be a little bit bummed, but I wouldn’t do anything crazy about it. I have Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube.”
They do not get paid to do their TikTok videos, but they do get donations and sponsorships. Both hope to continue to share their family fun.
