Suspects Arrested in Alamo Kidnapping

Local News

Five suspects are behind bars following a kidnapping in Alamo.

Authorities say a phone tip from a relative in El Salvador led to the rescue of two undocumented immigrants early this morning.

The man and woman were being held hostage on the 700 block of Fannin Avenue. Alamo Police say it’s important for the public to know the signs of a potential stash house.

Juan Meza, police spokesperson says, “We want to make sure that our residents are on the lookout for suspicious things. Like residences that have all their windows covered, that they’re very dark. That there’s a lot of food being brought in several times a day, but nobody’s seen walking around the day in the residence. We’ve seen that before in our investigations. Houses that are being used to stash these people.”
