Sullivan City welcomes new police chief

Local News

SULLLIVAN CITY, Texas (KVEO) — The Sullivan City Police Department announced its new police chief.

The department welcomed Joseph Cordova Thursday afternoon.

Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra and the city Mayor were in attendance at the ceremony.

Cordova says he has an open door policy with city residents.

“The city can expect the same expectations they always had before, we are always out there being vigilant, active, strong. I’m committed through community policing,” said Cordova.

Chief Cordova replaces Richard Ozuna, who left March 13 and is now police chief for the city of Alamo.
