Students Participate in the Royal Flush

Local News

Construction at the Bert Ogden Arena is almost complete. Before the official opening, the arena will test to make sure the water is flowing properly.

This morning IDEA Edinburg students made their way to the arena for the Royal Flush.

About 200 students arrived at the newly constructed facility to test the water pressure in a very unique way. While it worked well on the north side of the arena, it did not go well for the south side.

The arena president says this event is very important. It gives plumbers the ability to make adjustments to water pressure before a big event.

“When you can have 200 kids all at one time, all simultaneously turning on the water, and flushing the water, it gives you a true representation of what an event will be like.” Said Marc Solis

The arena is set to host its first concert on August 31 with Mexican icon Luis Miguel. Other artists such as George Lopez and WWE fights are scheduled through the end of the year.
