Student Exhibit Opens to the Public

Local News

The Brownsville Independent School District opens its exhibit Elementary Art Contest Exhibit to the public.

This year the district showcases 20 schools represented and over 600 pieces of art at the halls of the BISD Administration Building.

The district believes art is critical to development of student learning.

BISD’s Art Specialist Teodoro Estrada says, “Through art students learn how to problem solve. They learn how to think in higher levels… We encourage the students to use their artistic license to create.”

The exhibit is open from 4 to 6 PM until May 18.
