Starr County judge to postpone re-opening of bars and Halloween activities

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas — After consulting with local health officials and mayors of Starr County cities, County Judge Eloy Vera has decided it is too early to re-open bars in the county.

Siding with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Judge Vera said that bars remain a high-risk venue for the spread of COVID-19.
