Border Patrol agents seized a large amount of marijuana in the vehicle along the river banks of the Rio Grande River in Starr County.

According to a release, a total of 462 pounds of marijuana were seized along with the black Ford F-150 pick-up.

The drug bust took place on Saturday, June 29, on a Starr County road west of Alto Bonito. 

According to the release, the driver of the black Ford F-150 turned back and several subjects fled back to Mexico.

Starr County HIDTA Task Force took over this investigation.
