Decker, age 20 at the time of the arrest, hit several spring breakers with her car in the early morning hours of March 17, 2017, and fled the scene.

She was arrested the next day. In the days that followed, Maria Selena Patino died of her injuries and charges were upgraded to intoxication manslaughter.
