SpaceX’s Global Internet Coverage

Local News

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — It’s been a year of making history for Space X. The space exploration company took a giant leap toward making global internet coverage a reality. It’s fifth Falcon 9 Rocket launch of the year took flight sending 60 internet-beaming satellites into space.

Space X is hoping Star Link’s mega constellation will help provide affordable internet coverage to the world. Following the successful launch the rocket’s first stage gently touched down on a floating platform at sea.

It marks the company’s 40th booster recovery, saving SpaceX millions of dollars each flight.
