South Padre Island Collecting Old, Worn U.S. Flags for Proper Disposal

The city of South Padre Island is asking for help in the proper disposal of American flags.

From now until Friday, November 9th, the city will be collecting old, worn, and damaged flags at city hall and the SPI Convention Center. All locations are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A flag retirement ceremony is scheduled for Monday, November 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the convention center.
