South Padre Island order makes beachgoers face the heat.

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — City facilities and metro services on South Padre Island will be halted on Monday in anticipation of Tropical Storm Nicholas.

According to a release, all city facilities will be closed Monday due to the storm.

The release also states the high winds and heavy rain will be unsafe for passengers and drivers.

Services will resume when roads are safe for transport.
