Soldier Database Project in the works at national historic park

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – A new project in the works can help fill ancestry gaps for residents of the Rio Grande Valley.

On January 27th Palo Alto National Historic Park will host the virtual launch of the U.S.-Mexican War Soldier Database. The event will take place both at the Brownsville park and online. It will consist of information of soldiers participating in the international conflict during the mid 1800s.

With the database, residents can discover if one of their ancestors fought in the war.
