Sheriff’s office charge 18-year-old with First Degree Aggravated Robbery

EDINBURG, Texas – The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office says an 18-year-old has been arrested after robbing a Dollar General by holding a knife to the victims throat and threatening to kill.

Authorities say Emiliano Trevino has been charged with 1st degree Aggravated Robbery and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Deputies responded to the robbery call on Tuesday morning at the Dollar General located south of Mile 12 and north of FM Road 1015.

A second employee of the store saw what was happening and closed the register causing the suspect to run. After a search deputies located Trevino along with the knife and synthetic marijuana.
