Dearest friends and family,

It is with a broken heart that I bring this terrible news. This morning, Sandra Coronado passed on to be with our Lord. Our sister served with us proudly as a Communication Officer at the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office with honor and distinction. Her voice and strength guided our Deputies on their calls in our County, and her memory and spirit will continue on this great mission from her new heavenly home.

Grant her family strength Lord during this time of grief. We ask for our communities continued prayers and support.

Sheriff JE “Eddie” Guerra

The driver who was arrested is expected to be formally arraigned on those charges today.
