An investigation to a sexual assault lead authorities to arrest a man who set up an unlicensed dentist TMs office inside a mobile home.

Brownsville police arrested 56-year-old Sergio Jefferson on a practicing dentistry without a license charge.

Investigators told Action 4 News that it all started with detectives investigating a sexual assault.

Detectives went to the Siesta Mobile Home Park at 3301 Coffee Port Road on Thursday as part of the investigation.

Police said the mobile home was created in the appearance of a legitimate dentist TMs office.

Detectives learned that Jefferson was practicing dentistry without a license from inside the mobile home.

Police found log books with patient TMs names and appointments as well as a Mexican anesthesia named Xyon, which contains lidocaina and eprinefrina.

Jefferson remains in custody at the Cameron County Jail under a $20,000 dollar bond.

Under the Texas Occupations Code, practicing dentistry without a licnese is a third-degree felony punishable from two to 10 years in prison and/or a $10,000 dollar fine.

Jefferson did not appear to have a previous criminal record.
