Another body has been recovered from a canal in Hidalgo County. It is the seventh body recovered from a canal or river in the past six days.
Hidalgo County Deputies were called out around 6:40 on Tuesday evening to investigate a body found in a canal. The canal is located near the streets Pedro Martinez and Military near Progreso.
Authorities say the body is that of a male and does not appear to be foul play. The case remains under investigation.
