San Benito police release new details following deadly shooting last week

The San Benito Police Department is releasing new details following a deadly shooting that occurred last week.

Authorities were called out to the 800 block of Buena Vida Street, just after 6:15 p.m.

30-year-old Edgar Gonzalez died as a result of the shooting.

Police said the suspects were last seen driving away in a white Chevrolet Tahoe going south on FM 2520. The vehicle was also seen driving past the fire department on FM 2520, turned into a neighborhood and exited Turner Street.

Authorities are asking residents and businesses that have surveillance video along that route to review their video between the time of 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2019.
