LAGUNA HEIGHTS, Texas (ValleyCentral) – The Salvation Army and the American Red Cross are both headed to the Laguna Heights area to help tornado victims and emergency crews.
They will be at the Port Isabel Event & Cultural Center located at 309 Railroad St. providing snacks, water, and blankets.
Volunteers with both agencies will help serve meals to those in need and all those helping clean debris, restore power, and help in rescue operations.

The Salvation Army estimates it will prepare 500 meals people at the scene with the help of local restaurants and stores.
The American Red Cross had nearly a dozen volunteers on Saturday at the emergency shelter. Executive Director David Luna says the volunteers will return on Sunday.
Aside from volunteering at the shelter, they will also provide damage assessments to residents whose homes were damaged.
