Roads closed due to flooding and other water hazards

Flooding forced the city to close the roads until further notice.

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas — Many roads across the Rio Grande Valley are still closed or dealing with unfavorable conditions from flooding caused by Hurricane Hanna.

The Texas Department of Transportation has an updated list of roads that are still impacted by these conditions.

Below is the list, as of July 29 at 4 p.m.:

Cameron County

SH 4 – 17 Miles East of FM 511 to End of State Maintenance – closed due to flooding

FM 2556 – Business 83 to US 281 (Military Road) – closed due to flooding

FM 2556 – FM 506 to Cantu Road – closed due to flooding

FM 1420 – FM 508 to Cameron Willacy County Line – closed due to flooding

FM 506 – Orphanage Road to Cavazos Road – closed due to flooding

FM 506 – Clark Road to Tio Cano Road – closed due to flooding

SH 107 – Hidalgo/Cameron County line to Cantu Road – closed due to flooding

IH 69E – BU 77 to Ballenger Road – water over frontage lanes, main lanes open

Willacy County

FM 1420 – Cameron/Willacy County line to FM 1018 – closed due to flooding

FM 1420 – FM 1018 to FM 498 – water over roadway

FM 1018 – FM 1420 to Violent Road – water over roadway

FM 3142 – FM 2209 to SH 186 – closed due to flooding

FM 1834 – Intersection of Goyo Garia Road – closed due to flooding

FM 2845 – Between Mesquite Road and Poinciana Road – closed due to flooding

FM 506 – FM 1834 to Spence Road – water over roadway

Hidalgo County

FM 491 – CR 8499 to FM 1925 (Monte Cristo) – closed due to flooding

FM 491 – CR 8499 to FM 1422 – water over roadway

FM 491 – Clark Road to Mile 10 – closed due to flooding

FM 1422 – Mile 3 to Mauro Road – closed due to flooding

SH 107 – Salazar Street to Kika de la Garza Street – water over roadway

SH 107 – Jose Borrego Drive to Magson Street – water over roadway

SH 107 – Cottonwood Street to Hidalgo/Cameron County line – closed due to flooding

FM 1921 – West of 1425 – light poles on roadway

FM 1015 – FM 1921 to Mile 19 1/2 – water over roadway

FM 1015 – Mile 14 1/2 to CR 16343 – water over roadway

FM 1015 – Mile 12 1/2 – water over roadway

FM 1015 – Raul Ganzalea Drive to Mile 11 – water over roadway

FM 1015 – Mile 10 to Canal – closed due to flooding

FM 3071 – SH 107 to Mile 17N – water over roadway

FM 88 – Mile 10 – water over roadway

FM 88 – Mile 14 – water over roadway

FM 1425 – Mile 12 to FM 2629 – closed due to flooding

IH 2 – East of Mile 2 – water over frontage lanes, main lanes open

FM 907 – FM 3072 to El Gato Road – closed due to high water

FM 3072 – FM 907 to Cesar Chavez Road – closed due to high water

FM 493 – Mile 10 to Souix Road – water over roadway

FM 493 – Mile 20 to Mile 21 – water over roadway
