Road closure for Bicentennial Boulevard Extension Project

MCALLEN, Texas – As the City of McAllen said storm sewer installation construction will cause a road closure along Freddy Gonzalez Drive.

The city’s press release said the roadway will be closed to all through traffic between 23rd Street and Main Street. Closure will begin on Tuesday, May 26 and will continue through Wednesday, May 27. Residents will still be able to access their homes. (see map below) 

Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Drivers should expect some delays and congestion, said the release.
