Rip Crew Affiliates Head To Prison

Two members from the Rip crew behind multiple home invasions and carjackings throughout Hidalgo County are headed to prison.

31 year old, Danny Ano and 39 year old Marlyn Gonzalez of Mission pled guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.

The court attributed the serious conduct to “Greed and a lot of people willing to do anything for money.”

Cano has been ordered to serve 108 months in prison.

Gonzalez has received a 50 month term.

Twelve others have pled guilty and are pending sentencing.
