Rio Grande City (Texas)—Rio Grande City officials announced Monday that they will be hosting a virtual mental health summit and live Q&A.
According to a release, the summit will take place on Wednesday, April 15 at 5:30 p.m. Summitt speakers include, Mayor Joel Villarreal LPC; Dr. Matilde B. Alaniz LPC-S, RPT-S, CSC, NCC, CART; Elma Compean, LPC for RGCCISD Special Services Department and Alex Sarabia M.A., LPC fromSouth Texas College Psychological Science Faculty.
The summit will address fear, anxiety, and mental health effects COVID-19 can have on both adults and children. They will also share their tips on ways to cope with the stress, according to the release.
The summit will be live-streamed on the Rio Grande City Facebook page.
