If you have a traffic ticket or outstanding warrant in Rio Grande City, now is the time to clear it up without any consequences.

From December 9-13, the Rio Grande City Municipal Court will initiate their amnesty period for ‘Failure to Appear.’

During this time, the court will waive extra charges associated with unpaid tickets or warrants.

According to a Facebook post by the Rio Grande City Police Department, anyone who voluntarily appears in court to resolve their case, will not be arrested.

Police are urging people to take advantage of the amnesty period to take care of any unresolved tickets or to clear outstanding warrants.

For more information, you can contact the city’s municipal court at (956) 487-8889.
