RIO GRANDE CITY – U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar is set to take a local high school student as
his special guest to Washington, D.C.
Alex Rodriguez of Rio Grande City High School will be joining lawmakers as President Trump delivers the State of the Union Address next month. Rodriguez was chosen for his high involvement with the community and the passion he displays for his goals.
Congressman Cuellar said, “He’ll be able to look at how monies will be sent down here or whether it’s education and transportation. He has to understand the dynamics, especially between the White House and the U.S. Congress and he’s going to be there in the historic chamber and the gallery. He’s going to be able to look at all of the decision makers.”
Joining Alex Rodriguez will be his mother and twin sister. The State of the Union Address is set for February 4th.
