Rio Grande City man arrested for murder, victim identified

UPDATE: Authorities have identified the victim.

According to police, the victim was identified as 40-year-old Antonio Aguilera.

Bond for Maximiliano Gazca was set at $1 million for one count of murder and $50,000 for one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.


GARCIASVILLE, Texas — One man is in custody in connection to a murder that occurred on Saturday.

Starr County officials confirm that a shooting took place in Garciasville on Saturday afternoon that left one man dead.

On Sunday morning, Maximiliano Gazca, 21, was arrested for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The case is under investigation.
