HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Some Rio Grande Valley school districts have announced the extension of the winter break.
On Monday, four school districts announced they will extend the winter break due to “the increase of COVID-19 cases in our community.”
Mercedes ISD is extending the winter break until Monday, Jan. 10. Schedules will be adjusted as needed. Extracurricular activities will resume as regularly scheduled.
San Benito CISD
San Benito CISD is extending the winter break until Monday, Jan. 10. district personnel will return to work on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
Santa Rosa ISD
Santa Rosa ISD is extending the winter break until Monday, Jan. 10.
Point Isabel ISD
Point Isabel ISD has delayed their return from the winter break to Monday, Jan. 10. Point Isabel ISD offices will remain open.
Weslaco ISD previously announced an extension of the winter break. They will return to school on Monday, Jan. 10.
