RGV Food Bank looking for donations in fight against hunger

Local News

PHARR, Texas — The RGV Food Bank is asking for your help in their newest campaign to fight against hunger.

Their coronavirus resource readiness and response campaign has a goal of $250,000.

So far, they have raised more than $114,000 but are still looking to reach the goal.

CEO Stuart Haniff says this campaign will specifically help those suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We created a dedicated fundraising campaign because we realize demand is so high and we need to make sure that we have enough food so that we can provide enough meals for all of those who are in need,” said Haniff.

Just one dollar can provide healthy nutritious food for up to five complete meals.
