A rescued tiger is moving to a wildlife sanctuary.

He is affectionately known as Maynard the Tiger. He was found by Border Patrol during a failed smuggling attempt. Back in May, Agent Marshal Maynard attempted to apprehend three people crossing the river illegally before fleeing back into Mexico.

It was then that they dropped a package first believed to be drugs. Instead the agent found a 2-month-old tiger cub. Now, Maynard the Tiger is in good health and ready to leave the Gladys Porter Zoo. He will live the rest of his days at a wildlife sanctuary.
