Records reveal identities in Edinburg murder

New details from a police report identify the victims of a homicide investigation in Edinburg where police discovered four bodies. 

The Edinburg Police Department has not identified the victims, however the police report lists them as 48-year-old Magdalena Cantu, 19-year-old Rebecca Lee Cantu and 30-year-old Aaron Cortez. 

Officers were called out to 300 block of West Kuhn Street, Tuesday December 10th. 

During a press conference on the day of the incident, Edinburg police said they believed two of the victims are mother and daughter, another was the boyfriend of one of the two females, and the last was a home provider.

The suspect would have been charged with capital murder of multiple persons, according to the police report. 

The police report does not show the suspect’s name. 

Edinburg police says they will hold a press conference and release more details this week.
