Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD Junior, Yulissa Ibarra, recently earned 1st place in the Advanced Interview Skills category of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Competition held March 7 in Dallas. Ibarra will be representing PSJA ISD at the National BPA competition later this year in California.
BPA is the premier CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, office administration, and other related career fields. With 45,000 members in over 1,800 chapters across 25 states and Puerto Rico, BPA is a co-curricular organization that supports business and information technology educators by offering co-curricular exercises based on national standards.
Ibarra attends PSJA Sonia Sotomayor Early College High School, a special purpose campus committed to ensuring young mothers continue and complete their education. She will be earning a Recruiter Assistant Certificate this May and plans to graduate with an Associate Degree in Human Resources Management from South Texas College in May 2020.
