PHARR, Texas – According to the 2020 US News & World Report Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD’s high schools are ranked among the top 500 in the State of Texas and in the Nation. In a press release from the district, PSJA T. Jefferson T-STEM Early College High School ranked among the top 100.
The release also stated the ranking is based on the school’s Advanced Placement (AP) participation rate.
Through PSJA ISD’s Early College initiative, high school students are able to graduate with up to 60 college hours or an Associate Degree from higher education partner South Texas College before their high school graduation, said the release.
The district’s high schools were ranked as follows:

- 4,118 in the National Rankings
PSJA North Early College High School
- 364 in Texas Rankings
- 4,379 in National Rankings
The U.S. News & World Report ranks high schools based on six factors: College Readiness, Math & Reading Proficiency, Math & Reading Performance, Undeserved Student Performance, College Curriculum, and Graduation Rate.
