The Pharr, San Juan, Alamo (PSJA) Independent School District (ISD) has announced it will remain closed from March 23 to March 27.

The district said in a release, this is in an effort to minimize social grouping as a response to coronavirus alerts.

Our e-learning plan will be launched next week to keep our students engaged in learning during this additional time off. We are working with our city partners the City of Pharr, City of San Juan and City of Alamo, as well as other local entities to minimize any digital divide by finding appropriate and affordable means for our families to access Wi-Fi. Organizations such as Spectrum, have already offered a solution, and we are grateful for their generosity.

The release adds the district will be providing meals throughout the three cities, and that more information on this initiative would be released in the coming days.

PSJA ISD officials remind the public to stay safe and continue limiting social interactions.

The release adds updates will be posted on their website.
