A municipal judge in Progreso has been arrested for possessing a volatile chemical.

According to public records, Krystal Elaine Starowitz was arrested by Mission police on Friday.

Starowitz is currently the municipal court judge in Progreso and works for the KG Law Office in McAllen.

Bond for Starowitz was set at $1,000, which she posted the next day.
